Yes. You can write and edit your chapters yourself. Use Bao when you want help with a scene, a draft, or a revision.
Do I control the changes Bao makes?
Yes. Bao proposes each change and waits for you to approve or reject it. You can also give feedback before it continues.
Can I use my existing AI plan?
Yes. Sign in with ChatGPT or Grok from Settings → Model Config. For Claude, use an API key: Claude Max and Team plans include monthly API credits that Webnovels AI can draw from. You can also run a free local model with Ollama or LM Studio. Your provider’s usage limits and terms still apply.
Can I use Claude Code or Codex?
Yes. Connect them to Webnovels AI through MCP to work with your book from those apps.
Does the Webnovels AI price include AI usage?
No, and there are no credits. Webnovels AI is the software; AI runs on your own ChatGPT plan, Claude API credits, any API key, or a local model, and we add no markup. See the pricing page for how each option works.
