Common questions
Does the $10 include AI usage?
No. Webnovels AI is the writing software, and AI runs on an account you choose: a ChatGPT or Grok sign-in, an API key, or a local model. We never meter or resell AI, so there are no credits to buy or run out of.
Can I use my Claude subscription?
Anthropic does not allow Claude subscription sign-ins in third-party apps, so Webnovels AI uses a Claude API key instead. Claude Max and Team plans include monthly API credits ($100 on Max 5x, $200 on Max 20x), and a key from your linked Console organization can use them.
Can I use my ChatGPT subscription?
Yes. Choose ChatGPT under Settings → Model Config and sign in. Requests count against your ChatGPT plan and its limits.
Can I write with AI for free?
Yes, with a local model. Webnovels AI connects to Ollama or LM Studio on your own computer, so requests cost nothing per word. Results vary by model.
What happens to my book if I cancel?
Your chapters are saved as Markdown files in a folder you choose on your computer. They stay there after you cancel, readable in any text editor.
How much is the annual plan?
The annual plan is $49 a year, half the usual $99. There is no code to enter, and you can cancel any time.
What does the AI provider see?
Only the text Webnovels AI sends for a task, such as the chapter and story records it needs, under the terms of the provider you picked. With a local model, nothing leaves your computer.
